It’s December and I’m in the Giving Spirit! So…, I gave my time in exchange of what “we” sometimes absolutely forget we need. It doesn’t cost much and means the world upon receipt… smiles, kindness, fellowship, hugs, support and warmth at the In Her Shoes Foundation Monthly Women’s Workshop.
The Founder, a fellow woman’s advocate, colleague in the counseling field, and friend, Kasia Wereszczynska, founded the organization with the producers of this world in mind. Her heart wanted to create a space for women, who are in crisis, transition, needing to give and support other women because… women know all to well what it is like to be in crises, transition, a space where we need to uplift other women as we climb, a space to experience support, receive answers if we are looking for solutions, and an opportunity to be something great to a fellow sister in need or for a fellow sister to be something great to us.
When the opportunity presented itself for me to share In Search for Love and Freedom: What I lost on my way with other women, who have stories of their own, my heart leaped! The honor bestowed upon me to stand before 12 beautiful women and encourage their voices to share their truth untold, is everlasting. Thank you In Her Shoes Foundation and fellow Sisters on the same journey for allowing me to share what it was like to be “in my shoes.”
Every 3rd of each month, expect an empowering message that will Inspire, Connect, Educate, and Support you! All Workshops take place at Marcello’s Father & Son’s Italian Restaurant, 645 West North Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Just SHOW UP! Who knows, you may become a regular like some of these faces…
